Oleg Bartsits, Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Abkhazia, congratulated Akhsar Dzhioev, Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of South Ossetia, on Victory Day in the Great Patriotic War.

In particular, it is noted:

"May 9th carries a special, deeply personal dimension for our peoples. On the fronts of the Great Patriotic War, Abkhazians and Ossetians fought side by side with representatives of all Soviet peoples, sharing both the burden of losses and the glory of Victory. It was precisely this unity that provided the strength that crushed Nazi Germany.
Today, we honor the living memory of the heroes who endured inhuman trials and valiantly achieved victory for the sake of a free life for their descendants."

Oleg Bartsits wished Akhsar Dzhioev and the staff of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of South Ossetia peace, prosperity, and a dignified future.
