Oleg Bartsits, Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Abkhazia congratulated Sergey Lavrov, Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Russian Federation on Diplomats' Day.

It is noted:

"This significant day is a celebration for the entire Russian diplomatic service, the staff of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Russian Federation, which embodies the best traditions of national diplomacy in its work.

It is largely under your leadership that Russian diplomacy has demonstrated consistency, integrity, and effectiveness for many years.

Your long-standing and dedicated work as Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Russian Federation has rightfully earned high authority both in Russia and far beyond its borders. Your strategic vision, unwavering commitment to justice and the protection of national interests, deep knowledge of the international agenda, and outstanding negotiating skills make you a truly great diplomat.

For many years, you have demonstrated true diplomatic skill, combining firmness in defending of national interests with a willingness to engage in constructive dialogue. It is impossible to overestimate your role in strengthening of the Abkhaz-Russian alliance and in promoting of the interests of the Abkhaz people and their right to self- determination in the international arena.

I fondly recall our last meeting last October in Sochi, which once again confirmed the high level of cooperation between the foreign ministries of our countries. I am confident that cooperation between the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Abkhazia and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Russian Federation will continue to serve the interests of the peoples of Abkhazia and Russia." 

Oleg Bartsits wished Sergey Lavrov good health, good luck, and success in his responsible public service to the Fatherland.
