Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Abkhazia, Oleg Bartsits, has departed for Moscow on a working visit. Meetings with representatives of Russian government authorities are scheduled as part of the visit.

During the meeting, the President of the Republic of Abkhazia, Badra Gunba expressed his gratitude to Oleg Bartsits, Foreign Minister and the staff of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs for their work, noting their professionalism, competence and conscientious approach to the tasks.

On September 5, 2026 at the invitation of the Embassy of the Republic of Nicaragua, Zaur Gvadzhava, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Abkhazia to the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela attended a formal ceremony marking the 205-th anniversary of Central American independence.

From September 13 to 16, a delegation from the Council of Young Diplomats (CYD) of the Abkhazian Foreign Ministry—at the invitation of the leadership of the Russian Foreign Ministry’s Council of Young Diplomats—participated in the 9th Global Forum of Young Diplomats. Titled "Next-Generation Diplomacy: The Role of Youth in Improving the Global Governance System," the event took place in Yekaterinburg alongside the International Youth Festival 2026, with the support of Rossotrudnichestvo, the "New Generation" program, and the World Youth Festival Directorate.

A presentation was held in Yekaterinburg outlining the program for an international expedition to the Republic of Abkhazia scheduled for September 17–22 for foreign participants of the International Youth Festival.

On the sidelines of the International Youth Festival in Yekaterinburg, an informal meeting took place during the gastronomic festival between the Abkhazian delegation and Sergey Kiriyenko, First Deputy Chief of Staff of the Presidential Executive Office and Chairman of the Festival Organizing Committee, and Dmitry Chernyshenko, Deputy Prime Minister of the Russian Federation.

On September 13, 2026, the opening of ceremony of the International Youth Festival took place at the Yekaterinburg-EXPO Congress and Exhibition Center in Yekaterinburg. Oleg Bartsits, Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Abkhazia participated in the event.
