A meeting of the Abkhazian delegation headed by the Minister of Foreign Affairs Oleg Bartsits with the Ambassador of Russia Alexander Efimov took place at the Embassy of the Russian Federation in the Syrian Arab Republic.

The central topics of discussion were the current political situation in Syria, issues of strengthening bilateral cooperation between the two countries and the participation of Abkhazia in the 62nd Damascus International Fair.

Minister of Foreign Affairs of Abkhazia Oleg Bartsits thanked Alexander Efimov for the warm welcome and noted that Russia has always provided assistance in maintaining relations with the countries that recognized Abkhazia.

At the end of the meeting, as a symbol of cultural and friendly relations, Minister Oleg Bartsits presented the Ambassador with a memorable gift – a wooden product made by Abkhazian artisans.
