Oleg Bartsits, Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Abkhazia congratulated Akhsar Dzhioev, Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of South Ossetia on the Day of Adoption of the Act of Declaration of Independence of the Republic of South Ossetia.

It is stated in particular:

"This day is a symbol of the unwavering will of the people of South Ossetia for freedom and self-determination. The Republic of Abkhazia has consistently stood in full solidarity with South Ossetia's chosen path of building a sovereign, independent state and consistently developing of its own national project.

I recall with particular warmth the hospitable welcome extended to the Abkhaz delegation in the city of Tskhinval, as well as my last personal meeting with you, which left the fondest impressions.

I express my firm confidence that our peoples will continue to rely on each other's support as we move together toward comprehensive international recognition." 

Oleg Bartsits wished the entire Ministry staff success in their responsible diplomatic work and a peaceful sky above their heads.
