As part of the visit of the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Abkhazia Oleg Bartsits to the Russian Federation, a meeting was held between Oleg Bartsits and the Director of the Latin American Department of the Russian Foreign Ministry Alexander Schetinin.

Oleg Bartsits and Alexander Schetinin exchanged views on issues of mutual interest. In particular, they discussed the possibilities of developing cooperation between Abkhazia and countries of Latin America.

The Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Abkhazia expressed hope for further strengthening of ties between Abkhazia and Latin American countries and intensification of dialogue.
