On September 12, as part of a working visit to Moscow, the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Abkhazia Oleg Bartsits met the Chairman of the Presidium of the Foundation for Assistance to the Protection of Rights and Legitimate Interests of Citizens Abroad "Russian World", Honorary Citizen of the Republic of Abkhazia Sergey Baburin.

At the meeting, which took place at the Embassy of the Republic of Abkhazia in the Russian Federation, a wide range of issues of cooperation between Abkhazia and Russia, countering modern challenges and threats were discussed.

The possibilities of establishing and developing relations between Abkhazia and friendly countries, in particular, with the CIS countries, Southeast Asia, the Middle East and Africa, and the use of public and people's diplomacy in this matter were discussed.

In the context of the issues raised, the importance of promoting "soft power" methods was noted, including cultural exchanges, implementation of projects in the economic sphere, as well as the leading roles in these processes of the Russian Federation and the People's Republic of China.
