On June 25, 2025, the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Abkhazia Oleg Bartsits arrived in the Syrian Arab Republic on a working visit. The Minister is accompanied by Acting Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs Iraklii Tuzhba.

The Minister was met at the border by the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Abkhazia to Syria Muhammad Ali, representatives of the Protocol Department and the Department of Europe of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates of Syria.

A meeting will be held with the Minister of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates of the Syrian Arab Republic Assad Hasan Al-Shaibani and other officials.
