On April 3, 2025, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Abkhazia hosted a meeting between Acting Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Abkhazia Sergey Shamba and Advisor to the President of the Pridnestrovian Moldavian Republic Pavel Prokudin.

Pavel Prokudin arrived in Abkhazia to participate in the inauguration ceremony of the elected President of the Republic of Abkhazia Badra Gunba, which took place on April 2.

From the Abkhazian side, the meeting was attended by Acting Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs Odissei Bigvava and Head of the Department of Strategic Cooperation of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Abkhazia Dzhemal Bganba. From the Pridnestrovian side - Head of the Official Representative Office of the Pridnestrovian Moldavian Republic in the Republic of Abkhazia Garri Kupalba.

During the meeting, the parties discussed the current state and prospects for the development of Abkhazian-Pridnestrovian cooperation. Issues of regional and international agenda were also raised.

The meeting took place in a traditionally warm and friendly atmosphere.
