The Abkhaz Foreign Minister thanked the delegation for the meeting and the warm welcome extended to them on the fraternal soil of South Ossetia, emphasizing that interaction between the parliaments of our two countries is a crucial component of interstate cooperation.

The Minister also noted the close and constructive relations between our diplomatic missions and missions abroad.

"Our embassy operates here, ably represented by Mukharbegovich Elbakiyev, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary Alan. The Embassy of South Ossetia operates in Abkhazia. Unfortunately, we recently lost our great friend and highly respected man, Oleg Ilyich Botsiev. Alan Anatolyevich Dzagoev is currently the Chargé d'Affaires of the Republic of South Ossetia in the Republic of Abkhazia. We are fully maintaining our foreign relations and contacts," said Oleg Bartsits.

For his part, Parliament Speaker Alan Margiev said: "Our peoples are bound by a shared historical destiny; we have traveled a difficult path together. Freedom and independence were achieved at the cost of great losses and trials. But we persevered, overcame all difficulties together, and achieved recognition of the independence of our republics.

On this path, we have always stood by each other, feeling fraternal support and encouragement. Today, friendly and cooperative relations between our countries are actively developing, and the tone for this is set, first and foremost, by the heads of our states."
