The Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Abkhazia, Inal Ardzinba, sent an address to the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela, Ivan Gil, on the occasion of the 14th anniversary of the recognition of the independence and state sovereignty of the Republic of Abkhazia by the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela.

The address states, in particular:

“In Abkhazia, we will always remember with a feeling of deep appreciation the decision of the leadership of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela in the person of the great leader and great friend of Abkhazia, Hugo Rafael Chavez Frias, to support the historical right of the people of Abkhazia to self-determination. We have a very high degree of mutual understanding and coincidence of positions on issues of bilateral cooperation. The agenda of our interstate communication is becoming saturated with new projects. We are ready to contribute in every possible way to the further expansion of the entire range of bilateral cooperation.”

The head of the Foreign Ministry of Abkhazia wished his colleague and the entire fraternal people of Venezuela peace, happiness and prosperity.
