On 18-19 April, the Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov paid a working visit to the Republic of Abkhazia.

Within the framework of the visit, the Russian Foreign Minister took part in the solemn ceremony of the official opening of a new complex of buildings of the Russian Embassy in Abkhazia. In addition, Sergei Lavrov held talks with Raul Khajimba, the President of the Republic of Abkhazia and Daur Kove, the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Abkhazia.
