On March 10, 2024, a meeting between Muhammad Ali, the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Abkhazia to the Syrian Arab Republic, and Dr. Abdul-Qadir Joukhadar, the Minister of Industry of the Syrian Arab Republic, took place in Damascus.

At the meeting, the Minister noted the importance of strengthening industrial and economic cooperation between the two countries.

Mechanisms for joint cooperation in the industrial sector were considered, as well as a proposal to create a technical group between the Ministry of Industry of the SAR and the Embassy of the Republic of Abkhazia to explore opportunities for cooperation in areas of mutual interest.

Ambassador Muhammad Ali presented information on the industrial sector in Abkhazia and its importance for the economy of the Republic, which is one of the three main sectors that make up the country's GDP.

The meeting from the Abkhaz side was attended by Counselor - Geis al-Kharki, Head of the Consular Section of the Embassy of the Republic of Abkhazia.
