Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Abkhazia to the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela Zaur Gvadzhava met with the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Venezuela Carlos Rafael Faria Tortosa.

During the meeting, the parties exchanged views on the current state of bilateral relations between the two countries and discussed issues of strengthening and developing friendly and fraternal relations between Abkhazia and Venezuela.

Zaur Gvadzhava assured the Minister that the Republic of Abkhazia is going to continue to strengthen bilateral strategic cooperation in order to further develop relations between our states in all areas of mutual interest.

The head of the Venezuelan Foreign Ministry noted that both Venezuela and Abkhazia are currently under the influence of tough economic sanctions, and that now is the time to strengthen the ties of solidarity and brotherhood between our countries.
