The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Abkhazia sent a note of condolence to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of South Ossetia on the occasion of 13-th anniversary of the beginning of large-scale aggression of Georgia against the Republic of South Ossetia.

It is said:

"The South Ossetian people have always shown tremendous courage and fortitude in defending their home from the enemy. The peace was achieved on South Ossetian land at the cost of the lives of their sons and daughters.

The terrible days of the August 2008 war will always resonate with indelible pain in our hearts. In this difficult time, the people of the Republic of Abkhazia honour the blessed memory of the victims together with the brotherly people of South Ossetia.
