Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Russian Federation Sergey Lavrov congratulated the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Abkhazia Inal Ardzinba and the staff of the Ministry on the 15th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between the Russian Federation and the Republic of Abkhazia.

The congratulatory telegram, in particular, notes: “Moscow and Sukhum are time-tested friends, developing interaction in the spirit of alliance and strategic partnership. We are united by common cultural and moral guidelines and worldviews, pride in the glorious pages of our common history.”

Sergey Lavrov noted with satisfaction “the close working ties established between the foreign policy departments of our countries. This allows us to effectively solve current problems, including increasing the international image of Abkhazia, ensuring security and stability in the Transcaucasus.” The head of the Russian Foreign Ministry wished Inal Ardzinba and all Abkhazian Foreign Ministry officials good health, prosperity and further success in their professional activities.
