On September 30, 2022, Abkhazia celebrates the 29th anniversary of the Victory in the Patriotic War of 1992-1993. The long-suffering people of Abkhazia walked towards this Victory with long and heavy steps. The people of Abkhazia gained it with huge losses and destruction.
The bloody war lasted 413 days. Abkhazian soldiers won it on September 30, 1993. Up to 12 thousand people took part in the defense of national interests, of which up to 2,700 died, and more than 5,000 were injured. Representatives of the North Caucasus, the southern part of Russia and other cities of the Russian Federation took part in the hostilities.
The staff of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Abkhazia took part in the flower-laying ceremony at the Memorial of Glory in Sukhum, as well as at the grave of the First President of the Republic of Abkhazia Vladislav Ardzinba in the village of Eshera.
