Walid al Muallem, the Deputy Chairman of the Council of Ministers, Minister of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates of the Syrian Arab Republic met with Bagrat Khutaba, the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Abkhazia to the Syrian Arab Republic on July 21,2020 at the Syrian Foreign Ministry.

The agenda of the meeting was the presentation of a copy of the credentials and the official inauguration of the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Abkhazia to the Syrian Arab Republic.

The discussion of bilateral relations between the Republic of Abkhazia and the Syrian Arab Republic took place during the meeting. The parties expressed their interest in developing of cooperation in various fields within the framework of previously signed agreements.

The ceremony of presenting his credentials to His Excellency Bashar al-Assad, President of the Syrian Arab Republic will take place in the near future.
