The Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Abkhazia, Inal Ardzinba, sent a congratulatory message to the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Russian Federation to the Republic of Abkhazia, Mikhail Shurgalin, on the occasion of the state holiday of the Day of Russia. 

The congratulations read, in particular:

The date of June 12, 1990 became a new stage in the modern history of Russia.

The love of Russians for their homeland, adherence to spiritual values, unity and pride for the great history are a solid foundation for the prosperity of the Russian state and its power.
