The meeting of Kan Tania, the Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Abkhazia with William Henon, the new head of the Sukhum office of the UNICEF took place at the Abkhazian Foreign Ministry on August 31. The meeting was also attended by Gottfried Hanne, the former head of the office.

Kan Tania thanked Gottfried Hanne for the work he had done as the head of the Sukhum office of the UNICEF, wished him success in his future work and also expressed his hope for productive cooperation with the new head of the office.

The sides also discussed further steps for cooperation and implementation of projects realized by UNICEF in the territory of the Republic of Abkhazia during the meeting. In addition, an action plan for the near future was outlined.
