Daur Kove, the Foreign Minister met Alexei Dvinyanin, the new Ambassador of the Russian Federation to the Republic of Abkhazia in connection with the delivery of copies of credentials on May 14, 2018.

The Abkhazian Foreign Minister congratulated Alexei Dvinyanin and expressed his hope that his stay at this high post will serve to the further all-round development of the allied Abkhaz-Russian relations, to build and strengthen the strategic partnership of the two countries.

The Russian Ambassador to Abkhazia assured that during his mission he will make the utmost efforts to fulfill the tasks set for him by Vladimir Putin, the President of Russia to further expand and deepen the allied relations between Russia and Abkhazia in various spheres thanking the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Abkhazia. "I am sure that our people and our states are waiting for a great future. We will work, relying first of all on agreements between our countries, taking into account the spirit of friendly and allied relations that has developed between Russia and Abkhazia", Alexei Dvinyanin emphasized.

Daur Kove and Alexei Dvinyanin exchanged views on a number of topical issues on the bilateral agenda.
