The meeting of Bigvava O.M., the Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Abkhazia with Pavlova E.V., the head of the Consular Section of the Embassy of the Russian Federation in the Republic of Abkhazia. The meeting was also attended by M. Litvinov, the Counselor-Envoy of the Embassy of the Russian Federation in the Republic of Abkhazia and M. Tarkil, the Head of the Consular Department of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Abkhazia at the Embassy of the Russian Federation in the Republic of Abkhazia on February 20,2020.

The issues related to the exchange and issuance of the Russian passports to the citizens of Abkhazia were discussed during the conversation. The representatives of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Abkhazia expressed a desire to strengthen the work of the Consular Service due to the increased flow of the citizens receiving and handing over the documents for passports.

The representatives of the Embassy recommended paying attention to the importance of informing the public on the need to file an application for an exchange of a passport in advance at least 4 months before its expiration date.

In turn, O. Bigvava, the Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs expressed gratitude to the Embassy staff for well-coordinated work and high professionalism.
