This year, the United Arab Emirates became the guest country of the St. Petersburg International Economic Forum.

Many events took place on the margins of SPIEF, the purpose of which was to present the economic potential of the UAE.

Foreign Minister Inal Ardzinba, who took part in the events, stressed that Abkhazia is ready to develop investment and economic cooperation with the UAE. Ardzinba also visited the UAE pavilion at SPIEF.

"The UAE is pursuing a sovereign foreign policy, strengthening relations with Russia, and acting as a reliable partner for the countries of the world," Ardzinba stressed.

It is planned to carry out mutual business missions between the Republic of Abkhazia and the United Arab Emirates.

Entrepreneurs of the two countries will explore the possibility of establishing investment and economic ties between the countries.

“Our hospitable people will be happy to have such honored guests,” the Foreign Minister noted.
