Khibla Amichba, the Plenipotentiary Representative of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Abkhazia in Germany said that an evening dedicated to Abkhazia was held in Berlin with the assistance of the Eurasian Society.

The event was attended by Dr. Christian Wipperfurth, publicist, political scientist, expert of the German Society for Foreign Policy.

The topic of the evening was security issues in the post-Soviet space, in particular in Abkhazia.

“I tried to give a historical excursion and tell the guests about Abkhazia, the difficult history of its people, the reasons for the difficulties arising in the development of our country, the international recognition of the Republic, the Abkhaz diaspora outside the republic and development prospects in general. Thanks to the organizers, the Eurasian Society, personally to Mr. Alexander Rahr,” noted Amichba.

The meeting was also attended by Wolfgang Matzke, the Representative of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of the Republic of Abkhazia in Germany, who spoke about the economic potential of the Republic of Abkhazia, modern geopolitical conditions and projects being implemented in Germany.
