On March 7, 2024, Abkhazia hosted a meeting between the Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Abkhazia, Iraklii Tuzhba, and the Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Pridnestrovian Moldavian Republic, Alexander Stetsyuk.

The meeting was also attended by the Head of the Official Representative Office of the Pridnestrovian Moldavian Republic in the Republic of Abkhazia, Garry Kupalba, and the Head of the Department of Strategic Cooperation of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Abkhazia, Dzhemal Bganba.

During the meeting, key aspects of Abkhazian-Pridnestrovian interaction were discussed, as well as opportunities to intensify bilateral cooperation.

The parties paid special attention to the situation in Pridnestrovie in the context of increasing political and diplomatic pressure from Moldova.

The meeting participants confirmed the desire of the two countries to continue to develop bilateral cooperation in the spirit of allied and fraternal relations.
