The regular consultations took place in Moscow, within the framework of the mechanism for foreign policy coordination established by the Memorandum between the Abkhazian Foreign Ministry and the Russian Foreign Ministry on March 11, 2015.
The consultations were attended by Igor Akhba, the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Abkhazia to the Russian Federation and Alexei Pavlovsky, the Director of the Fourth CIS Department of the Russian Foreign Ministry.
A wide range of issues of bilateral relations were discussed, including: strengthening and further development of cooperation between the Republic of Abkhazia and the subjects of the Russian Federation; training of Abkhaz civil servants in higher educational institutions of the Russian Federation; further strengthening of the international position of Abkhazia as well as the situation in the region.
The practice of regular mutual information and consultations will be continued.
