The International Conference "10 Years of Recognition: Results and Prospects" began its work in Sukhum on August 22,2018. The event is organized by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Abkhazia.

The program of the conference includes the Plenary session, work within the framework of six round tables as well as the presentation of the international movement PROAbkhazia.

The round table meetings are held on the following topics:

"The role of the First President of the Republic of Abkhazia in the formation of the statehood";
"Abkhazia in the context of contemporary threats and challenges";
"Aspects of cultural and humanitarian interaction of Abkhazia with the modern world";
"Diaspora resource of the Republic of Abkhazia";
"Inter-Parliamentary Cooperation and Parliamentary Diplomacy";
"Economic, political and social aspects of cooperation between Russia and Abkhazia".

The presentation of the international movement PROAbkhazia - an informal public association promoting the dissemination of objective information about the Republic of Abkhazia will take place at the end of the round tables.

The leading experts from Abkhazia, Russia and CIS countries, as well as experts from Germany, Great Britain, Switzerland, Turkey and Jordan Among are the participants of the round tables.

Closing of the conference and summing up of its results will be held tomorrow on August 23,2018.
