The thousand-year statehood of Abkhazia is not a subject for discussion. Our legislation makes this clear. The Republic of Abkhazia is a reliable ally of the Russian Federation.

Our relations are governed by an extensive legal framework, numbering more than 200 agreements. The Republic of Abkhazia appreciates the repeated statements by top Russian officials regarding the impossibility of revising the fundamental foundations of bilateral relations.

The uncontested way of development as a sovereign independent legal state is chosen by the people and is protected by the Main Law - the Constitution of the Republic of Abkhazia.
