According to the Decree of the President of the Republic of Abkhazia of November 6, 2006 No. DP-149 " On the coordinating role of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Abkhazia in conducting of a single foreign policy of the Republic of Abkhazia" the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Abkhazia is the main coordinating body in the field of relations with foreign states and international organizations.
Programs (projects) planned for implementation on the territory of the Republic of Abkhazia by foreign non-governmental and international organizations are subject to mandatory approval by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Abkhazia in the manner prescribed by the Temporary Regulation on the procedure for implementation of programs (projects) of foreign non-governmental and international organizations in the Republic of Abkhazia (approved by Decree of the President of the Republic of Abkhazia of May 4, 2019 № 108 "On some measures for implementation of programs (projects) of foreign non-governmental organizations.
Guided by the current normative-legal acts of the Republic of Abkhazia, we remind that when foreign non-governmental and international organizations carry out their activities on the territory of the Republic of Abkhazia, including the preparation of meetings with representatives of the youth of the Republic of Abkhazia, organization of discussions, round tables and seminars, distribution of information materials, as well as when preparing meetings with representatives of the leadership and public organizations of Georgia, a mandatory prior approval of any projects by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Abkhazia is required.
In addition, foreign non-governmental and international organizations must submit reports on the implementation of programs (projects), the personal composition of employees, as well as documents containing information about the sources of funding and the purpose of spending these funds to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Abkhazia.
