The Foreign Ministry of Abkhazia drew attention to the provocative statement of the official Washington which was made in connection with the latest events in Venezuela.
The US authorities unceremoniously intervene in the internal affairs of a sovereign state with the cynicism characteristic of the American political establishment essentially provoking a further escalation of the already complicated situation in Venezuela. Such the statements are nothing but a frank call for a coup d'état.
In conditions when the extreme restraint and composure are necessary, in Washington they prefer to act in a hurry, deliberately aggravating the situation. The possible consequences of such ill-conceived actions which can turn into a large-scale bloodshed, apparently, the United States does not care much.
We consider absolutely unacceptable any attempts to interfere in the internal political processes of Venezuela. We are convinced that the crisis in Caracas can and must be overcome within the framework of the existing political system and without any external pressure.
