On September 29, 2023, at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Abkhazia, a meeting was held between the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Abkhazia, Inal Ardzinba, and the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of South Ossetia, Akhsar Dzhioev.

Ardzinba expressed gratitude to the delegation of the Republic of South Ossetia for participating in the events on the occasion of the anniversary of the Victory in the Patriotic War of the People of Abkhazia.

The heads of foreign ministries discussed the security situation in Transcaucasia, the progress of the Geneva Discussions, as well as various aspects of bilateral relations.

The importance of intensifying bilateral dialogue in the context of the difficult geopolitical situation in Transcaucasia was noted.
