On February 22, 2024, an online working meeting was held at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Abkhazia with the participation of Deputy Ministers of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Abkhazia Iraklii Tuzhba and Odyssey Bigvava, as well as Russian colleagues.

During the meeting, the possibility of participation of Abkhazian representatives in various events of the Russian Federation's chairmanship in BRICS was discussed.

“This is a very important event. Russia's chairmanship in BRICS will last from January 1 of this year to December 31.

We need to take all measures to ensure that Abkhazian representatives are represented in the maximum number of formats and at the maximum number of events that will be held within the framework of the chairmanship.

BRICS today is one of the main driving forces of multipolarity. BRICS is an association that symbolizes the global majority,” noted Inal Ardzinba.
