On December 14, 2023, the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Abkhazia, Inal Ardzinba, held another meeting with the Minister of Foreign Affairs and Compatriots of the Syrian Arab Republic, Faisal al-Mekdad. 

The parties reviewed and approved a bilateral action plan, which involves a significant intensification of Abkhazian-Syrian relations in various sectors. 

Ministers agreed to intensify foreign policy and information coordination between the Republic of Abkhazia and the Syrian Arab Republic.

The head of the Syrian Foreign Ministry asked Inal Ardzinba to convey greetings and warm wishes to the President of the Republic of Abkhazia Aslan Bzhania.
