On July 8, a meeting was held at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Abkhazia between the Minister of Foreign Affairs Inal Ardzinba and the Head of the Representative Office of Rossotrudnichestvo in the Republic of Abkhazia Dmitry Fedotov.

Topical issues of interstate cooperation were discussed during the meeting. An agreement was reached to increase the quotas for the education of applicants from the Republic of Abkhazia in the universities of the Russian Federation. Issues of joint implementation of projects in the field of sports, culture, support for young leaders of both countries were discussed.

After the meeting, the Minister of Foreign Affairs Inal Ardzinba held talks with the Head of Rossotrudnichestvo Evgeny Primakov. The parties exchanged views on current issues on the bilateral agenda.
