On March 12, 2024, at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Abkhazia, a meeting was held between Minister Inal Ardzinba and the family of Vladimir Kharabua, the commander of the 9th assault company as part of the international brigade “Pyatnashka”, who died during the Special Military Operation.

During a meeting with V. Kharabua’s wife Zita Kortava and daughters Sofia and Anna, the Minister said:

“The brave struggle and courage that your husband and father demonstrated will forever remain in our hearts. Eternal memory to him. A special military operation is first of all, a fight for global justice and truth. This is a fight, including against those who want to destroy our statehood.”

The minister noted that Sofia Kharabua will be provided with all assistance in the matter of admission to one of the leading universities of the Russian Federation. He also congratulated Anna Kharabua on her belated birthday, giving her his best wishes and memorable gifts.

Addressing the Kharabua family, Inal Ardzinba assured: “You can always count on us in any matter.”
