From August 16 to 22, 2017, the delegation of the Republic of Abkhazia, headed by the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Abkhazia, Daur Kove, visited the Syrian Arab Republic.

The delegation also included the Minister of Economy of the Republic of Abkhazia Adgur Ardzinba, Assistant Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Abkhazia Irakli Tuzhba, Head of the Middle East and Africa Department of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Abkhazia Inver Alshundba.

In addition, the delegation was represented by the President of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of the Republic of Abkhazia Gennady Gagulia, the Vice President of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry Tamila Mertskhulava and the employees of the Chamber of Commerce of Abkhazia Muhammad Ali and Kama Tsvizhba who presented the exposition with the products of the Republic of Abkhazia at the Damascus International Fair.
