In the province of Duzce, a meeting was held between Inal Ardzinba, the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Abkhazia, and Talikh Khvatysh, our compatriot, deputy of the Grand National Assembly - the Parliament of Turkey, deputy chairman of the commission on international relations.

The parties noted the importance of developing a joint roadmap to intensify work with compatriots living in Turkey.

Inal Ardzinba noted the relevance of coordinated work at the site of the Turkish Parliament to expand international contacts and recognition of Abkhazia. Mr. Khvatysh supported the initiative, noting that he would make every effort to implement the plans.

Inal Ardzinba stressed that holding information, cultural, humanitarian, investment and economic events in Turkey is of great importance for disseminating information about Abkhazia.

In 2007, Khvatysh was elected to the People's Assembly - the Parliament of the Republic of Abkhazia.
