September 9, 2021 marks13 years since the establishment of the diplomatic relations between the Republic of Abkhazia and the Russian Federation.

The meeting of Irakli Tuzhba, the Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs and Ugesh Pradhanang, the project manager of the United Nations Development Program (UNDP) was held on December 24, 2018, in the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Abkhazia.

Zaur Gvajawa, the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Abkhazia to the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela and the Republic of Nicaragua met with the Minister of Culture of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela Ernesto Villegas Polyak and Oscar Machuca Hernandez, the Director General of the Ministry of Culture, General on August 31, 2021.

Daur Kove met with Nathan Reyes, the Head of the Mission of the International Committee of the Red Cross in Abkhazia and Daniel McQueen, the representative for missing persons in the Caucasus on August 31, 2021 at the Abkhazian Foreign Ministry.

Daur Kove, the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Abkhazia congratulated Dimitri Medoev, the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of South Ossetia on the Day of Recognition of the Independence of the Republic of South Ossetia.

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Abkhazia sent a note of condolence to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of South Ossetia on the occasion of 13-th anniversary of the beginning of large-scale aggression of Georgia against the Republic of South Ossetia.

The group of UN Security Council member states, including the United States, Britain, France, Ireland, Norway and Estonia, issued a statement demanding that Russia withdraw its troops from Abkhazia and reconsider its decision to recognize the republic's independence on August 4 this year.

NATO's annual military exercise Agile Spirit 2021 began in Georgia on July 26, 2021. More than 2,500 troops from Azerbaijan, Canada, Estonia, Germany, Georgia, Italy, Latvia, Lithuania, Poland, Romania, Spain, Turkey, Ukraine and the United Kingdom are taking part in the exercise. More than 1,500 of them are Georgian service members, another 700 are American service members. According to the Georgian Ministry of Defense, the aim of Agile Spirit 2021 is "to practice interoperability of combat units of the armies of NATO member states and its partners; improve operational capabilities during planning and execution of combat operations in a multinational environment and develop cooperation in the field of security".

On 28-30 July, Daur Kove, Head of the Abkhaz Foreign Ministry, takes part in the XII-th International Economic Summit "Russia - Islamic World: KazanSummit 2021", held in Kazan at the invitation of Rustam Minnikhanov, Tatarstan President.
