At the invitation of Shahid Akhtar, the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Islamic Republic of Pakistan to the Syrian Arab Republic, Muhammad Ali, the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Abkhazia to the Syrian Arab Republic took part as an official guest of honor in the opening of ceremony of the Honorary Consulate of the Islamic Republic of Pakistan in the city of Homs. 

As part of the ceremonial event, Muhammad Ali wished the Honorary Consul of the Islamic Republic of Pakistan in the city of Homs Labib Al-Ikhwan success in his work and presented a memorable gift on behalf of the Embassy of the Republic of Abkhazia in the Syrian Arab Republic. 

The event was attended by Namir Makhlouf, the Governor of Homs, Omar Khouria, Secretary of the Arab Socialist Baath Party branch in Homs and Tammam Suleiman, the representative of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs Ambassador.
