On February 17, a delegation from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Abkhazia, led by Foreign Minister Oleg Bartsits and Acting Foreign Minister of the Republic of South Ossetia Akhsar Dzhioev, laid flowers at the "Defenders of South Ossetia" memorial and observed a minute of silence in memory of the fallen defenders.

On February 12, 2026 members of the Council of Young Diplomats (CYD) under the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Abkhazia—Astanda Pataraya, Victoria Malania, Astamur Asabua, and Said Tarba—participated in the First Conference of the International Association of Young Diplomats (IAYD) via videoconference.

At the invitation of Sergey Melik-Bagdasarov, Zaur Gvadzhava, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Abkhazia to the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela participated in a ceremony dedicated to Russian Diplomats' Day.
