On February 21, Zaur Gvadzhava, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Abkhazia to the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela at the invitation of the Ambassador of the Republic of Nicaragua to Venezuela Daisi Torres Bosquez took part in a ceremony dedicated to the 91-st anniversary of the death of General Augusto Nicolás Calderón Sandino.

The event held in the National Pantheon of Caracas was headed by Daisi Yvette Torres, Ambassador of Nicaragua who was accompanied by Rander Peña, Deputy Minister for Latin American Affairs of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Venezuela Alfredo Ruiz, Ombudsman of Venezuela and Jorge Arreaza, Executive Secretary of the Bolivarian Alliance for the Peoples of Our America (ALBA-TCP).

The ceremony was attended by ambassadors and heads of diplomatic missions accredited in Venezuela, representatives of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Venezuela, the media and other guests.
