On December 19, 2024, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Abkhazia to the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela Zaur Gvadzhava, at the invitation of the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Venezuela Ivan Gil Pinto, took part in a ceremonial event with the participation of ambassadors and diplomatic representatives accredited in Venezuela, dedicated to the end of the year and the upcoming Christmas and New Year holidays. The meeting took place at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Venezuela.

During the event, Minister Ivan Gil delivered a speech in which he highlighted the difficulties that the Venezuelan people had to overcome in 2024 and noted that, despite the sanctions, Venezuela increased its GDP by 7% this year. He also expressed hope for the establishment of a more just and multipolar world in which peace and brotherhood will reign among nations.

During the event, Ambassador Zaur Gvadzhava had a conversation with Minister Ivan Gil, in which the Minister conveyed his fraternal greetings and best wishes to the acting Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Abkhazia Sergei Shamba.
