On September 15, 2023, Zaur Gvadzhava, the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Abkhazia to the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela, at the invitation of Scarlet Romero, the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Honduras to the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela, took part in the ceremony on the occasion of the 202-nd anniversary of the independence of the Republic of Honduras.

The ceremony took place in the monumental complex of the National Pantheon and was presided over by Ambassador Scarlet Romero and Undersecretary for Latin American Affairs Ruben Dario Molina.

The ceremony was also attended by ambassadors and heads of diplomatic missions accredited in Venezuela, representatives of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela, the media and other guests.
