On November 22, a meeting took place between the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Abkhazia to the Syrian Arab Republic, Muhammad Ali, and the Special Representative of the President of the Russian Federation for the development of relations with the Syrian Arab Republic, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Russian Federation to the Syrian Arab Republic, Alexander Efimov.

At the meeting, issues of intensifying interaction and prospects for cooperation between the Embassies of Abkhazia and Russia in Syria, as well as a wide range of issues of mutual interest were discussed. Muhammad Ali emphasized that relations between the two countries are developing progressively and dynamically on the basis of alliance and strategic partnership, and expressed hope for continued joint work and readiness to cooperate on a wide range of issues.

Alexander Efimov, in turn, noted the special importance of Abkhazian-Russian relations and expressed his readiness to provide assistance and support to the Abkhazian diplomatic mission in the SAR.

The meeting was also attended by the Security Advisor of the Embassy of the Republic of Abkhazia in the SAR, Gais Alkharake.
