The newly appointed Muhammad Ali, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Abkhazia to the Syrian Arab Republic presented copies of his credentials to Faisal al-Miqdad, the Minister o Foreign Affairs and Compatriots Abroad of the Syrian Arab Republic. 

The parties discussed current aspects of Abkhaz-Syrian interstate interaction and expressed mutual readiness to intensify interaction in the political, trade, economic, and humanitarian spheres. 

Particular attention was paid to the development of relations between the Republic of Abkhazia and the countries of the Middle East with the assistance of the Syrian Arab Republic.
