On November 29, 2022, on the occasion of the International Day of Solidarity with the Palestinian People, Muhammad Ali, Chargé d'Affaires of the Republic of Abkhazia in the Syrian Arab Republic, Counselor of the Embassy of the Republic of Abkhazia in the SAR, at the invitation of Dr. Samir El-Rufai, the Ambassador of the State of Palestine to the Syrian Arab Republic took part in reception, which took place at the Dama Rose Hotel in Damascus.

During the event, Muhammad Ali, Chargé d'Affaires of the Republic of Abkhazia in Syria handed over to Ambassador El-Rufai a note from Inal Ardzinba, the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Abkhazia addressed to Dr. Riyad Al-Maliki, the Minister of Foreign Affairs and Expat Affairs of the State of Palestine, on the occasion of the International Day of Solidarity with the Palestinian people.

The event was attended by representatives of the government of the Syrian Arab Republic, foreign diplomats accredited in the country, representatives of Palestinian political factions and the leadership of the Palestine Liberation Army.
