Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Abkhazia to the Russian Federation Igor Akhba received Adik Arshba, appointed Honorary Consul of the Republic of Abkhazia in Rostov-on-Don. The consular district, within which A. Arshba performs the functions assigned to him, includes the Rostov region. The Ambassador presented A.Arshba with the exequatur of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Russian Federation - a document certifying the recognition of the honorary consul by the host country and congratulated A.Arshba on his appointment. During the conversation, the Ambassador told Arshba about his duties, which this responsible post implies. The Honorary Consul defends the rights and interests of the Republic of Abkhazia, its citizens and legal entities in his consular district. Also within his competence, the Honorary Consul promotes the development and strengthening of friendly relations between Abkhazia and Russia, the expansion of economic, trade, scientific, and cultural ties.

In his turn A.Arshba told about the future working plans. I. Akhba and A. Arshba discussed the issues of joint activity.

The Ambassador wished the honorary consul successful work for the benefit of Abkhazia and Russia.
