On December 1, at the Center for Strategic Operations of the National Electoral Council in the city of Caracas, Z.K. Gwajava, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Abkhazia to the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela took part in a meeting with Indira Alfonso, the President of the National Electoral Council and Jorge Arreas, the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Venezuela.

During the event, Ambassadors and other invited guests had the opportunity to get acquainted with the merits of the Venezuelan electoral system, personally checking its transparency and reliability.

During a meeting with the diplomatic corps accredited in Venezuela, Jorge Arreasa, Venezuelan Foreign Minister expressed confidence that the elections will be held in accordance with all international norms.

Indira Alfonso, President of the National Electoral Council invited the ambassadors to visit polling stations to personally assess the voting process.

Elections to the National Assembly - Venezuelan Parliament will be held on December 6. More than 14,000 candidates representing over 90% of qualified political organizations will take part in the elections. The electoral system is 100% automated. District health protocols were created in the face of the COVID-19 pandemic, ensuring the health of all participants. More than 200 international observers will take part in the electoral process.
