The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Abkhazia sent a note to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Nicaragua on the occasion of the ninth anniversary of the recognition of independence and state sovereignty of the Republic of Abkhazia by the Republic of Nicaragua.
The note says:
"We note with satisfaction that over the years since the recognition and establishment of diplomatic relations, the Abkhaz-Nicaraguan relations have reached the level of strategic cooperation and mutually beneficial partnership.
We welcome the confident development of our political dialogue as well as the regular nature of intergovernmental and interdepartmental contacts. We recall with warmth our visit to the Republic of Nicaragua in January this year to participate in the inauguration ceremony of His Excellency Mr. José Daniel Ortega Saavedra, the President of the Republic of Nicaragua. This visit gave impetus to further fruitful cooperation in the number of areas of mutual interest.
We are convinced that through joint efforts we will ensure the further expansion of the entire range of bilateral relations for the benefit of the friendly nations of Abkhazia and Nicaragua."
The note says:
