The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Abkhazia sent the congratulatory note to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of South Ossetia in connection with the 27th anniversary of the independence of the republic.
It is said :
"The day of September 20, 1990 is one of the most important historical events as the starting point for the current stage of the South Ossetian statehood based on the principles of freedom, democracy and the rule of law. For more than the quarter of the century your Republic has been steadily moving along the path of economic reforms, the construction of the law-based state and civil society.
Independence is the result of great labor and great losses of the citizens of South Ossetia who defended their hearth with honor and dignity, fearlessly defending the interests of the country in the bloody struggle with the brutal aggressor. The South Ossetia has gone through complex stages in the formation of its statehood, the main purpose and purpose of which is to ensure the security and well-being of the country. The will and the thirst to independently develop of our native land bring the dream to life of the South Ossetian nation - to have our own state.
The fraternal relations with South Ossetia in Abkhazia are highly valued and attach great importance to the expansion of constructive political dialogue and the strengthening of bilateral cooperation. I am convinced that the strategic partnership between Abkhazia and South Ossetia will continue to serve the interests of the nations of the two countries. "
